Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability scans to ensure compliance with FedRAMP and NIST frameworks.
- Monitor security systems 24/7 to detect and respond to cyber threats, intrusions, and anomalies in real-time.
- Manage and administer identity and access management (IAM) protocols, including PKI and MFA implementations.
- Support the creation and maintenance of detailed incident response plans and disaster recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on security policies, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present security posture reports to senior leadership and government clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- Certification required: CISSP, Security+, or CEH.
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network defense, or information assurance.
- Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM (Splunk, QRadar), Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and IDS/IPS systems.
- Strong understanding of federal regulations, including FISMA, HIPAA, and NISPOM.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
