Responsibilities
- Conduct Vulnerability Assessments: Perform regular penetration testing and vulnerability scans to identify security weaknesses within federal systems.
- Incident Response: Lead or support the investigation, containment, and remediation of cybersecurity incidents and data breaches.
- Security Compliance: Ensure adherence to NIST, FISMA, and other federal security frameworks and standards.
- Threat Monitoring: Monitor security alerts and logs using SIEM tools to detect and respond to malicious activity in real-time.
- Security Architecture Support: Assist in the design and implementation of secure network architectures for client environments.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation, security policies, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Certifications: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is highly preferred; Secret clearance required. CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or network defense.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and endpoint protection.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing technical reports and briefings.
- Agile/DevOps: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines is a significant advantage.
