Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events across the federal network infrastructure.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain security protocols in strict compliance with NIST and FedRAMP standards.
- Lead incident response efforts to mitigate cyber threats and restore system integrity rapidly.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure coding practices and data protection measures are followed.
- Prepare and present security reports to senior leadership and compliance auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent military experience).
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience with cloud security frameworks (AWS/Azure) is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
