Responsibilities
- Conduct Vulnerability Assessments: Perform regular scans and analyses of systems to identify security weaknesses and implement corrective measures.
- Manage Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal regulations, including NIST 800-53 and FISMA standards.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and resolution of security breaches and cyber threats in real-time.
- Access Control: Administer and monitor user access privileges to maintain strict data segregation.
- Security Architecture: Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement secure network architectures.
- Policy Enforcement: Develop and update security policies and procedures to align with evolving threat landscapes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent military/technical experience.
- Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance is required. (US Citizenship mandatory for Top Secret).
- Certification: CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT infrastructure support.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and Endpoint Protection.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and briefings.
