Role Overview:

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and deliver new web applications that enhance county operations.

Responsibilities

  • System Design & Development: Design, develop, and test high-quality software applications using modern frameworks (Java/Spring, React/Angular).
  • Legacy Modernization: Lead efforts to refactor and upgrade outdated county systems to improve performance and user experience.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code; conduct and participate in peer code reviews.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other technical staff to translate requirements into technical specifications.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure all code and infrastructure adhere to federal, state, and county security standards and privacy regulations.

Qualifications
