Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into efficient technical specifications and system solutions.
- Design, develop, test, and implement software applications and systems to support county operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including department heads and IT staff, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Perform system administration tasks, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security audits.
- Conduct user training sessions and provide ongoing technical support to county employees.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the implementation of third-party software solutions.
- Ensure strict compliance with data privacy laws and county IT security protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, software development, or technical support.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or SQL, and experience with web frameworks (React, Angular).
- Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced government environment.
- Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks is a plus.
