Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the county's network infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Manage Active Directory environments and user access controls with a focus on security compliance.
- Lead migration projects to modern cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and manage hybrid environments.
- Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and disaster recovery drills.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior IT staff members.
- Collaborate with department heads to align IT strategies with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Systems Administration, preferably in a government or large enterprise setting.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
