Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for suspicious activity and potential security breaches.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect county data systems from unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses.
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with law enforcement or external agencies when necessary.
- Develop and update security policies and procedures in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct security awareness training for county staff and management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, Security+, or CEH.
- Strong understanding of network architectures, operating systems, and security tools.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (if required).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
