Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems for federal networks
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents and develop mitigation strategies
- Manage vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for classified systems
- Develop security policies compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Lead cross-agency cybersecurity initiatives during national emergencies
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct security awareness training
- Collaborate with intelligence agencies on threat intelligence analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT security with CISSP or Security+ certification
- Expert knowledge of network security architecture and cloud security frameworks
- Active TS/SCI security clearance required
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and threat detection tools
- Demonstrated ability to develop incident response playbooks
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for policy documentation
- Familiarity with FedRAMP compliance requirements
