Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced cybersecurity measures to protect federal networks and sensitive data
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure systems
- Develop incident response plans and lead cybersecurity breach mitigation efforts
- Collaborate with federal agencies to establish unified security protocols and standards
- Analyze emerging cyber threats and recommend proactive defense strategies
- Maintain compliance with federal security regulations including NIST and FISMA standards
- Mentor junior cybersecurity professionals and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
- Active CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in threat detection, incident response, and security architecture
- Proficiency with security tools including SIEM platforms, firewalls, and encryption technologies
- Experience with federal IT compliance frameworks and security protocols
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts to stakeholders
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
