Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-life cycle management of complex IT systems, ensuring maximum uptime and security compliance.
- Design, develop, and implement innovative software solutions to modernize federal infrastructure.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive veteran data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including policy makers and technical staff, to define technical requirements.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and junior analysts.
- Manage and oversee the allocation of resources for large-scale IT projects within the federal budget constraints.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal regulations, including OMB Circular A-123 and FISMA requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems analysis, software development, or network administration.
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance is mandatory.
- Strong proficiency in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced government environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (JIRA, MS Project).
