Responsibilities
- Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of federal networks
- Develop and implement advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Coordinate incident response protocols for cyber security events
- Design and maintain secure network architectures compliant with NIST standards
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches
- Mentor junior security analysts and develop training materials
- Stay current with emerging threats and defense technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with federal system experience
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification
- Expert knowledge of FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP frameworks
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and security tools
- Secret security clearance (ability to obtain Top Secret)
- Demonstrated experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
