This position supports the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in safeguarding federal systems against evolving threats. You'll work alongside elite cybersecurity professionals in a dynamic environment that values innovation and public service.
Responsibilities
- Lead incident response operations for federal systems in South Florida
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Develop and implement zero-trust security architectures
- Coordinate with federal partners on threat intelligence sharing
- Maintain compliance with NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA standards
- Train federal employees on cybersecurity best practices
- Monitor SIEM systems for anomalous activity
- Report directly to DHS leadership on emerging threats
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in federal cybersecurity operations
- Certification in CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Expertise in threat hunting and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Experience with CISA's Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) tools
- Knowledge of Florida-specific critical infrastructure threats
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for executive reporting
