Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for federal and state agency employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, servers, and security systems during non-business hours to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security updates to safeguard sensitive government data.
- Respond to and resolve high-priority service tickets and incidents via remote support tools and on-site assistance.
- Document all technical interactions, resolutions, and system changes in the Service Management Database.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to hand over unresolved issues and ensure seamless service continuity.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience (typically 3-5 years).
- Valid CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience working in a Night Shift environment or the ability to work rotating night schedules.
- Familiarity with government IT standards, such as FISMA or NIST compliance, is a strong plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues independently.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
