Responsibilities
- Manage and distribute incoming mail, emails, and inter-office correspondence in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of various government documents, contracts, and personnel files.
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member professionally.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate databases for city records.
- Answer telephone inquiries from the public and internal staff, providing clear and helpful information.
- Support department heads with special projects, meeting preparations, and agenda creation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous administrative experience is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
