Responsibilities
- Manage Incoming Communications: Receive, screen, and route correspondence to appropriate staff members with high attention to detail.
- Office Administration: Maintain a well-organized filing system for federal records and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to veterans, staff, and visitors via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Data Entry & Reporting: Input data into federal systems and prepare routine reports using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Schedule Management: Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for supervisors.
- Support Special Projects: Assist the administrative team with various agency-wide initiatives and event planning.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for this federal position.
- Education: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.). An Associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Experience: No prior federal experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic typing skills (40 WPM).
- Background: Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain a suitable background clearance.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow complex instructions.
