Triangle Community Foundation is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Grant Writer to join our growing team. We believe in fostering talent and providing comprehensive training for those eager to make an impact. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or career changers with a passion for writing and research to gain hands-on experience in the non-profit sector.

We offer a hybrid work environment, competitive benefits, and a clear pathway for professional growth.
Why You Should Apply:
- No Experience Required: We provide mentorship and training for the right candidate.
- Growth Potential: Clear career progression into senior grant writing roles.
- Impact: Play a vital role in securing resources for local non-profits and community initiatives.
- Modern Culture: Join a collaborative, inclusive team in the heart of Raleigh.
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will assist in the end-to-end grant writing process:
- Conduct in-depth research on government and private foundation funding opportunities relevant to our portfolio.
- Assist in drafting and editing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and progress reports with a focus on clarity and impact.
- Organize and maintain a comprehensive database of grant opportunities and institutional tracking systems.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather data, stories, and statistics to support funding requests.
- Proofread and format documents to ensure high-quality standards and compliance with donor requirements.
Qualifications:
We are looking for raw talent and a strong work ethic:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or recently graduated in English, Communications, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong research abilities and the capacity to synthesize complex information into clear, concise narratives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- A proactive attitude, self-motivation, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Note: While prior grant writing experience is a plus, it is not required for this position. We value potential and passion over pedigree.
