Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research to identify and evaluate new funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and private corporations.
- Develop and write high-quality grant proposals, narratives, and budgets that align with funder requirements and organizational goals.
- Manage the entire grant lifecycle, including submission tracking, reporting, and compliance with donor stipulations.
- Collaborate with program staff and executive leadership to gather data and stories that demonstrate the efficacy of our programs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including grantmakers and community partners.
- Analyze funding trends and provide strategic recommendations to optimize our fundraising strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or proposal development within the non-profit sector.
- Proven track record of securing funding from diverse sources, including federal, state, and private foundations.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for various audiences.
- Strong research capabilities and proficiency in database management systems.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
