Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential funding sources, including government agencies, private foundations, and corporate sponsors.
- Write clear, persuasive, and well-organized grant proposals, cover letters, and narrative reports.
- Manage the full grant lifecycle, including tracking deadlines, gathering required documents, and ensuring compliance.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather data, success stories, and impact metrics for funding applications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with funders to ensure long-term partnership and repeat funding.
- Analyze funding trends and provide strategic recommendations to the executive team.
- Maintain an organized database of all funding opportunities and application statuses.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant writing or proposal development within the non-profit sector.
- Demonstrated success in securing funding from diverse sources (federal, state, and private).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software (e.g., Salesforce, Fluxx, or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
