Responsibilities
- Assist in the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting vacancies, screening applications, and coordinating interviews for federal positions.
- Process personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, and separations while maintaining accurate employee records in the HRIS.
- Coordinate onboarding activities and training programs to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly into the organization.
- Respond to inquiries from employees and applicants regarding benefits, leave policies, and personnel procedures.
- Conduct research on labor laws and federal regulations to ensure agency compliance and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with management to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for most federal positions.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience for the GS-5 level).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with HRIS systems is highly desirable.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn federal policies and procedures quickly.
