Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for hardware and software issues via help desk ticketing systems.
- Assist in the configuration and deployment of workstations and peripherals for new state employees.
- Maintain accurate records of all support tickets and incident reports using government tracking software.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to identify trends and improve overall service delivery.
- Ensure strict compliance with state cybersecurity policies and data protection regulations.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on emerging technologies and government standards.
- Perform routine system maintenance and security patching on assigned workstations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users clearly.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor and high attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain a State of Ohio Security Clearance (background check required).
- Must be willing to work onsite at the Columbus government complex.
