Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for end-users regarding hardware and software issues.
- Implement and monitor network security protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Configure and deploy software applications and updates across departmental devices.
- Conduct regular system audits, backups, and performance assessments.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technology needs and develop solutions.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate system logs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3+ years of professional experience in IT support, system administration, or network engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Server environments.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware troubleshooting, and virtualization.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable background check (State of Texas standard).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
