Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration and processing of state pension plans and retirement applications for government employees.
- Review and verify pension documentation for accuracy and compliance with state regulations.
- Respond to inquiries from current and retired employees regarding benefits, eligibility, and plan details.
- Input and maintain sensitive member data in the state pension database with a high degree of precision.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to resolve complex pension discrepancies.
- Participate in ongoing training regarding changes in federal and state pension laws.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Human Resources is a plus.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening as per state government policy.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee records.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data entry software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment and manage multiple priorities.
