Responsibilities
- Manage Weekend Operations: Serve as the primary contact for pension inquiries and benefit verifications during weekend hours, ensuring rapid response times and high customer satisfaction.
- Process Retirement Claims: Review, validate, and process pension applications, benefit adjustments, and payout requests with strict adherence to Texas state regulations.
- Data Integrity & Analysis: Maintain accurate records in the pension management system, performing regular audits of weekend transactions to ensure financial accuracy.
- Compliance & Regulation: Ensure all processing aligns with the Texas Government Code and federal retirement guidelines, including Social Security and Medicare coordination.
- System Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of internal pension administration software and databases.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in pension administration, human resources, or government benefits processing.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with ERPs or government benefits management systems.
- Attention to Detail: Proven ability to handle sensitive financial data with the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex pension concepts to non-technical audiences.
