Responsibilities
- Calculate and process federal pension benefits (FERS/CSRS) with 100% accuracy.
- Conduct thorough audits of pension records to ensure compliance with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) guidelines.
- Provide expert consultation to federal employees regarding retirement eligibility and benefit projections.
- Analyze complex payroll and service data to determine pension entitlements.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding sensitive employee financial data.
- Collaborate with internal legal and HR teams to resolve complex pension discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal pension administration or actuarial science.
- Deep understanding of the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized pension administration software (e.g., Ceridian, SAP).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing interactions.
