Responsibilities
- Manage veteran medical records and healthcare documentation systems
- Process VA benefits claims with 100% accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate multi-departmental communications and scheduling
- Implement federal compliance protocols for data privacy (HIPAA/VHA)
- Analyze operational metrics to optimize service delivery
- Train staff on VA administrative software and procedures
- Prepare reports for senior leadership and federal oversight bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field
- 2+ years federal/government administrative experience
- Proficiency in VA-specific systems (VistA, CPRS)
- Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Expertise in federal regulations (VA Handbook 1005, 38 CFR)
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, SharePoint)
- VA TMS training certification preferred
