Responsibilities
- Process veteran benefit claims and documentation with 99.8% accuracy
- Manage case files and maintain confidential records per federal regulations
- Coordinate with veteran families and external agencies to resolve inquiries
- Generate weekly payroll reports and administrative documentation
- Implement new digital filing systems to improve workflow efficiency
- Train junior staff on VA protocols and compliance standards
- Monitor departmental performance metrics and suggest improvements
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 2 years administrative experience in federal or regulated environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Valid Arizona driver's license for occasional off-site visits
- Ability to obtain VA security clearance (background check required)
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field preferred
- Experience with veteran affairs systems (e.g., VBA, VISTA) is advantageous
- Strong written communication skills for policy documentation
