Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain confidential veteran records and documentation in compliance with federal regulations
- Coordinate executive scheduling, meeting logistics, and correspondence for department leadership
- Analyze and process complex administrative claims with 99% accuracy within SLAs
- Develop and implement streamlined office procedures using federal workflow systems
- Serve as primary liaison between veterans, stakeholders, and department leadership
- Prepare detailed reports, briefings, and presentations for congressional oversight
- Train staff on federal compliance protocols and administrative best practices
- Monitor and optimize departmental budget allocations and resource utilization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of federal administrative experience with GS-5 level or higher
- Expert knowledge of federal regulations (VA, FERPA, FOIA) and compliance protocols
- Proficiency in GSA systems (e.g., VA Legacy, VISTA) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Top Secret security clearance or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with veteran populations
- Proven project management experience with cross-functional teams
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
