Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily office operations, including mail processing, filing, and supply management.
- Prepare, proofread, and edit complex correspondence, reports, and briefing materials for federal officials.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and meeting logistics for executive staff, ensuring adherence to federal travel regulations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and agency policies.
- Screen and route incoming communications, answering inquiries and escalating issues as necessary.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll documentation and timekeeping records.
- Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks to support project teams and ensure departmental efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of administrative experience, preferably within a federal, state, or government contracting environment.
- Strong understanding of federal regulations, compliance standards, and record-keeping protocols.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with government case management systems (e.g., SAP, Justice Management System) is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued background clearance.
