We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Federal Administrative Specialist to support our operations in Virginia Beach, VA. Responsibilities
- Manage incoming correspondence, including emails, memos, and official letters, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Schedule and coordinate complex travel arrangements, meetings, and conferences for senior leadership.
- Oversee the organization and maintenance of both physical and electronic filing systems in compliance with federal record-keeping standards.
- Prepare, proofread, and edit high-level reports, briefings, and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Assist in the onboarding and orientation of new federal employees and contractors.
- Process personnel actions and administrative forms in accordance with HR policies and regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for visitors and callers, maintaining a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a Secret Security Clearance.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience in a government or corporate setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and government-specific software (e.g., JDE, PeopleSoft).
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft professional correspondence.
- Interpersonal: Ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders, including military personnel and civilian officials.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
