Responsibilities
- Analyze and process employee enrollment in federal benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans.
- Provide expert guidance to staff regarding eligibility, coverage options, and policy changes.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations and agency-specific procedural requirements.
- Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to educate employees on benefits utilization.
- Investigate and resolve complex inquiries regarding payroll deductions and compensation packages.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with federal data privacy standards.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to improve benefits administration processes and employee satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration or human resources.
- Experience working within a federal or large-scale corporate environment is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal labor laws, OPM regulations, and health benefit systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
- Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to pass a federal background check and security clearance verification.
