Responsibilities
- Review and process federal benefit applications and claims with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Advise employees on federal insurance options, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Ensure strict compliance with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) guidelines and agency regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of employee files to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure seamless weekly pay processing for all federal staff.
- Respond to inquiries from federal employees regarding pay stubs and deductions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in federal benefits administration or HR.
- Knowledge of federal pay systems (GS) and leave policies is mandatory.
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
