Responsibilities
- Assist with Recruitment: Support the full-cycle recruitment process for Federal positions, including posting vacancies and screening applications.
- Process Personnel Actions: Prepare and process personnel actions, such as appointments, transfers, and separations, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files and electronic records in compliance with OPM and agency policies.
- Policy Implementation: Interpret and apply Federal employment laws and regulations to ensure consistent HR practices across the department.
- Staff Support: Serve as a point of contact for applicants and agency staff, answering inquiries regarding job openings and benefits.
- Compliance: Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation required for internal audits and regulatory reviews.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for this Federal position.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources or administrative support, preferably within the public sector or Federal government.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., StaffPro, USAJOBS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive government information.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
