Responsibilities
- Administer federal employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement, and leave management.
- Process weekly payroll data and verify timecards for accuracy to ensure timely compensation.
- Conduct regular audits of personnel files to ensure full compliance with federal regulations and OPM guidelines.
- Assist federal applicants and employees with inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, and claims processing.
- Collaborate with the HR team to improve recruitment strategies and streamline onboarding procedures for federal hires.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal employment laws and changing regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in federal HR administration, payroll processing, or benefits management.
- Strong working knowledge of the USAJOBS system and federal HRIS software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex policies clearly.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive personnel data.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict weekly deadlines.
