Responsibilities
- Manage Federal Benefits Packages: Oversee the administration and processing of federal employee benefits, including retirement, health, and insurance plans.
- Claims Processing: Review and analyze claims for federal compensation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Title 38 and other relevant federal regulations.
- Client Consultation: Serve as the primary point of contact for federal employees and veterans regarding benefits inquiries, providing clear and accurate guidance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in federal legislation and internal policies, updating documentation and procedures accordingly.
- Data Integrity: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in our HRIS systems, ensuring full auditability and data security.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the HR and Legal departments to resolve complex benefit discrepancies and optimize internal workflows.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience in federal contracting).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in benefits administration, federal claims processing, or a related HR function.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS software (e.g., SAP, Workday, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) processes and federal labor laws.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Availability: Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
