Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal healthcare compliance regulations (HIPAA, VA policies)
- Conduct internal audits and corrective action planning
- Collaborate with clinical staff on compliance training initiatives
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for federal review
- Stay current on evolving healthcare regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Develop and maintain compliance documentation systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years compliance experience in federal/state healthcare environment
- VA/Federal healthcare compliance certification (preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA and VA regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical and report writing capabilities
- Proficiency with compliance management software (e.g., Compli)
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
