Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with federal VA regulations (38 CFR) across Texas facilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits of veteran benefit programs and service delivery
- Develop corrective action plans for compliance deficiencies
- Collaborate with state agencies on veteran outreach initiatives
- Train staff on federal compliance protocols and documentation standards
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for congressional oversight committees
- Lead cross-functional teams during compliance investigations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
- Minimum 3 years federal compliance experience (VA preferred)
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain
- Expert knowledge of 38 CFR and federal procurement laws
- Professional certification (CPA, CCEP, or similar) strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in federal reporting systems (VA-VISN, VISTA)
- Demonstrated experience managing compliance audits
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
