Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security incidents across federal networks using SIEM tools
- Develop and implement advanced intrusion detection/prevention protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Coordinate incident response procedures for cyber threats
- Prepare detailed security reports for leadership and compliance agencies
- Stay current with emerging threats and mitigation strategies
- Train agency personnel on cybersecurity best practices
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 3 years cybersecurity experience with federal systems
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification mandatory
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight)
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and FISMA compliance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience
