Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze cyber threats using advanced SIEM tools and threat intelligence platforms
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate breach mitigation efforts
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to implement zero-trust security architectures
- Prepare detailed security reports and executive briefings for leadership
- Maintain compliance with NIST, FISMA, and DHS cybersecurity standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Experience with federal security frameworks (NIST SP 800-53, FISMA)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work in high-pressure situations
