Responsibilities
- Safeguard federal networks against cyber threats using advanced monitoring tools and protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
- Collaborate with federal agencies to share threat intelligence and best practices
- Maintain compliance with NIST and FISMA security standards
- Train personnel on cybersecurity protocols and emerging threats
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed technical reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of professional cybersecurity experience
- Valid Security+ CE certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) and penetration testing methodologies
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Knowledge of federal IT security frameworks (NIST 800-53, FISMA)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
