Responsibilities
- Monitor and defend federal networks against cyber threats using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Develop and implement incident response protocols for security breaches
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on national cybersecurity initiatives
- Generate detailed security reports and compliance documentation
- Train federal staff on cybersecurity best practices and protocols
- Manage security access controls and authentication systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of professional cybersecurity experience
- Active Security+ CE certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Experience with NIST cybersecurity frameworks and FISMA compliance
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in high-pressure environments
