Responsibilities
- Analyze complex healthcare datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and support evidence-based decision-making
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for stakeholder reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal data security standards (HIPAA, FISMA) and privacy regulations
- Collaborate with epidemiologists and policy analysts to translate data findings into actionable recommendations
- Manage data quality initiatives including validation, cleansing, and documentation of data sources
- Present findings to senior leadership through concise executive summaries and formal presentations
- Support ad-hoc data requests from federal partners and congressional inquiries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with large-scale datasets
- Proficiency in SQL, Python (pandas, numpy), and statistical analysis tools
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, D3.js)
- Familiarity with federal data governance frameworks and security protocols
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance (required)
- Experience working with healthcare or public sector datasets (highly desirable)
