Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and inform policy decisions
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for executive stakeholders
- Ensure strict compliance with federal data governance standards (FISMA, HIPAA) and security protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design data-driven solutions for veteran services optimization
- Prepare comprehensive analytical reports and presentations for senior leadership review
- Maintain and enhance ETL pipelines for federal data integration from multiple VA systems
- Stay current on federal data regulations and emerging analytical methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal datasets or government projects
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Advanced skills in data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js)
- Deep understanding of federal data compliance requirements (FISMA, HIPAA, 508 standards)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex findings clearly
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD methodologies
- Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one
