We're seeking a detail-oriented professional to analyze Medicare/Medicaid claims, public health surveillance data, and demographic information. Your work will directly impact healthcare accessibility and resource allocation across Ohio and the Midwest region.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret federal healthcare datasets (CMS claims, CDC surveillance data) using SQL, Python, and R
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for executive stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FISMA, and federal data security protocols
- Prepare statistical reports and trend analyses for HHS leadership and congressional briefings
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to standardize data collection methodologies
- Maintain data integrity through rigorous validation and quality control procedures
- Present findings to non-technical audiences using clear, compelling narratives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years analyzing federal healthcare datasets (CMS, CDC, HRSA experience highly valued)
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and R programming languages
- Advanced data visualization skills with Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with federal reporting requirements (OMB, GAO, OMB Circular A-123)
- Proven experience with ETL processes and data warehousing
- Strong written communication skills for policy documents and technical reports
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
