Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and anomalies
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for executive stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with federal data privacy regulations (HIPAA, FERPA, FOIA) and security protocols
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to standardize data collection methodologies across federal programs
- Prepare comprehensive reports and briefings for senior leadership on data-driven recommendations
- Maintain and optimize data pipelines for real-time analytics and automated reporting systems
- Lead ad-hoc data projects supporting emergency response and public health initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience analyzing federal, state, or municipal datasets
- Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical modeling
- Familiarity with federal data standards (FIPS, NAICS) and reporting requirements
- Certification in data visualization (Tableau/Power BI) or federal compliance preferred
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and big data technologies
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
- Strong written communication skills for translating technical findings for non-technical audiences
