Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies supporting homeland security operations
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines using SQL, Python, and R for real-time reporting
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations for executive decision-making
- Ensure compliance with federal data governance standards (FISMA, HIPAA, GDPR)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data requirements into actionable insights
- Present findings to senior leadership through formal briefings and documentation
- Implement data quality controls and validation protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in federal data analysis or similar regulated environments
- Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Familiarity with federal data standards (NIST, OMB guidelines)
- Strong statistical analysis and predictive modeling skills
- Experience with big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark) preferred
