Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Management: Gather, clean, and validate large datasets from various federal sources, ensuring data integrity and adherence to strict security protocols.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform complex statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform policy decisions and operational improvements.
- Visualization: Develop interactive dashboards and visual reports using Tableau, PowerBI, or similar tools to communicate complex findings to stakeholders clearly.
- Compliance Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and briefings for government stakeholders, ensuring all data presentations meet federal reporting standards and compliance requirements.
- Database Management: Utilize SQL and other query languages to extract data from relational databases and create automated reporting systems.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in data workflows and propose innovative solutions to enhance data processing speed and accuracy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical models.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the Federal Government or a cleared environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R is mandatory. Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) is highly preferred.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret clearance is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in high-stakes environments.
