Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal datasets to identify trends and inform public health policy decisions
- Design and implement automated data pipelines using SQL, Python, and R for federal compliance
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations for stakeholder reporting using Tableau/Power BI
- Ensure all data practices adhere to HIPAA, FISMA, and other federal regulations
- Collaborate with epidemiologists and program managers to translate data into actionable recommendations
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of datasets and statistical models
- Present findings to leadership and congressional stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience analyzing federal or healthcare datasets
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Certification in data visualization (Tableau/Power BI) or federal compliance
- Deep understanding of federal data governance frameworks (FISMA, HIPAA)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) for data processing
- Exceptional communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling requirements
