What You Will Do
As a Federal Data Analyst, you will be the bridge between raw data and strategic decision-making. Your work will directly impact national security and infrastructure management.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Processing: Gather, clean, and validate large volumes of federal and proprietary data to ensure high-quality analytics.
- Statistical Modeling: Develop complex statistical models and predictive analytics to forecast trends and identify potential risks.
- Visualization: Create interactive, high-impact dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or R Shiny for executive stakeholders.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all data handling processes adhere to strict federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and GDPR.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, methodologies, and analytical findings.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal or government sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and R. Experience with ETL processes.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Project Management Professional (PMP), or relevant federal data certifications are highly preferred.
- Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS) or Top Secret/SCI clearance is required for this position.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences.
