Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of large-scale IT projects from initiation through closure, ensuring alignment with state strategic goals.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to ensure financial accountability and efficiency.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication, ensuring transparent reporting to executive leadership and state agencies.
- Implement and monitor project governance, risk management, and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal technical teams to define requirements and resolve technical blockers.
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the development of departmental project management standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex IT projects in a government or large enterprise environment.
- PMP, PgMP, or CAPM certification is highly desired.
- Proven experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong understanding of Washington State procurement and compliance regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
